  • Concept:

With the renovation of the former Law School buildings USC sought to combine the two existing buildings and create a new Chemistry Building with state-of-the art labs. We designed a glassy connecting Atrium and communicating stair that brings light and connectivity to 3 levels. The Atrium is now a comfortable gathering space for majors and non majors to gather as well as a bright space for speakers and events. The renovated space creates three floors of undergraduate chemistry teaching laboratories. The new labs have an adequate number of hoods and safety features making the learning experience a more hands-on and safe one.
